Giving Tuesday is a global initiative that brings people together to harness the potential of collective generosity. Fortunately for folks in the Apple Valley-Rosemount area, there’s no shortage of organizations nearby that could greatly benefit from your support.

Here are five outstanding organizations in the Apple Valley-Rosemount area. Please consider volunteering or donating to them for Giving Tuesday and beyond.


  1. Kids ‘n Kinship — Serving the communities of Apple Valley, Rosemount and others in the surrounding area, Kids 'n Kinship provides friendships and positive adult role models to local youth. The nonprofit relies on volunteers to serve as mentors or participate in youth events, as well as financial gifts to fund its programming. Learn more at kidsnkinship.org/ways-to-give.
  2. Rosemount VFW —The Rosemount VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) serves and supports local veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families.   3. Apple Valley Arts Foundation (AVAF) — AVAF was established in 1999 with the mission of providing the community with high-quality arts experiences and supporting arts programs in local schools. Rotary Club of Apple Valley — The Apple Valley Rotary Club is a service organization with a mission to address the needs of the local and global community through volunteer efforts and philanthropy. The club engages in a wide range of activities, including charitable projects and community service initiatives, and even holds fundraisers for the Apple Valley Rotary Scholarship Foundation. Eastview Community Foundation — Based in Apple Valley, the Eastview Community Foundation empowers K-12 students in the Eastview attendance area by providing resources for educational and personal growth opportunities. Thanks in part to generous support from the community, the Eastview Community Foundation has provided over $158,250 in Random Acts of Kindness to support students in need, over $260,000 in grants to teachers at local schools and over $1,400,000 in scholarships to graduating Eastview seniors.
