Highway 55 Shuts Down In Rosemount

As of Tuesday morning, both directions of Highway 55 — between County Road 42 and Highway 52 — are shut down.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — A major closure that will disrupt traffic in Rosemount began Tuesday and last through at least eart October.

As of Tuesday morning, both directions of Highway 55 — between County Road 42 and Highway 52 — are shut down.

During the closure, crews will construct a dedicated left turn lane on eastbound Highway 55 at Doyle Path and a dedicated right turn lane and extended acceleration lane for westbound Highway 55.

Crews will also repave the road, according to a news release.

Drivers will be directed to a detour through County Road 42/145th Street and Highway 52. A temporary signal was built on the detour route to help control traffic.

" When possible, motorists should avoid cutting through neighborhoods and help keep the community safe by using posted detour routes," transit officials said.

All lanes of Highway 55 are expected to reopen in early October, according to MnDOT.
