Lakeville Woman, 32, Killed After 95-Year-Old Drove Wrong Way: Patrol

COTTAGE GROVE, MN — A Lakeville woman was killed after a 95-year-old drove the wrong way on U.S. Highway 61 in Cottage Grove on Sunday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Just before 8:15 a.m., Julia Ann Bilds was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion southbound in the northbound lanes near Jamaica Avenue when it collided head-on with an 2018 Audi Q5.

Bilds, who was the only woman in her vehicle, died at the scene.

Four people were in the Audi, including 32-year-old Tanya Ann Mott, who also died in the crash.

The Audi's driver and second passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Regions Hospital.
