Rosemount Residents Can Participate In 'No Mow May'

Homeowners across the country can opt out of mowing their lawns in order to help create habitats and food resources for pollinators.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — The city of Rosemount recently announced that its residents will be able to participate in "No Mow May" if they choose to.

During No Mow May, homeowners across the country can opt out of mowing their lawns in order to help create habitats and food resources for pollinators.

Residents can register their lawn to participate in No Mow May here. Additionally, the city asked residents who are participating to print and put up this sign.

According to the city, Dakota County is home to 125 rare species of plants and animals listed as of special concern, threatened, or endangered by the State of Minnesota or Federal Government, including the federally endangered Rusty Patched Bumble Bee.
