Rosemount Woman Survives Collision With Tree

A 60-year-old Rosemount woman survived after crashing her vehicle into a tree in northern Minnesota.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN — A 60-year-old Rosemount woman survived after crashing her vehicle into a tree in northern Minnesota.

On Monday at about 10:45 a.m., first responders and law enforcement responded to the report of a single-car crash on the 3400 Block of Vermillion Drive located north of Cook, Minnesota.

The vehicle had gone off the road, went down an embankment, and struck a tree, police said. The driver — the sole occupant — was trapped inside.

A Cook Fire Department crew was able to free the woman from the wreckage. She was treated at the scene before being airlifted to a Duluth area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
