Teen Ejected, Killed In South Twin Cities Metro Crash

A 17-year-old was killed in a single-car crash in the town of Randolph Wednesday morning.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — A 17-year-old was killed in a single-car crash in the town of Randolph Wednesday morning.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at about 8 a.m. on Nov. 29.

The teen — who was the lone occupant in the vehicle — was traveling north on Highway 56 near Dakota County Road 88 where the vehicle left the roadway and rolled, ejecting him from the vehicle, according to authorities.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

"The Minnesota State Patrol is the lead investigating agency," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "No further information will be released at this time. We extend our deepest sympathies to the victim’s family and friends"
