Tim Walz Dominated Scott Jensen In Apple Valley: Report

Gov. Tim Walz routed Scott Jensen in Dakota County on Election Day, including in the neighborhoods of Apple Valley.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — Republicans have not won a statewide race in Minnesota since 2006, and that streak continued Tuesday.

A big reason why is because of how poorly the state's Republican candidates performed in the suburbs, including gubernatorial candidate Scott Jensen.

In Dakota County, for example, Walz received 112,004 votes (55.83 percent) to Jensen's 83,220 votes (41.48 percent), according to the Secretary of State Office.
