Winter Weather To Linger A Bit Longer In Apple Valley, Rosemount
Forecasts show there is a slight chance of rain and snow for much of the next week in Apple Valley and Rosemount.
APPLE VALLEY/ROSEMOUNT, MN — The spring equinox was more than a week ago, but winter does not seem to have gotten the memo.
The Twin Cities woke up Wednesday to a fresh sheet of snow and ice, and the winter weather is set to stick around until Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The new ice and snow is likely to turn into a slushy mess Thursday, with a high of 38 degrees in the National Weather Service's forecast.

Temperatures could climb into the mid-40s Friday and reach almost 50 degrees Saturday and Sunday, the NWS said. There is a slight chance of rain and snow Friday night into Saturday morning, though.
Forecasts also show about a 20 percent chance of rain and snow Sunday night into Monday morning and on Tuesday.

Saturday-A slight chance of rain and snow before 9 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Saturday night-Mostly clear, with a low around 30.
Sunday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 51. 20 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m.
Sunday night-A slight chance of rain, mixing with snow after midnight, then gradually ending. Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Monday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
