Woman, 18, Killed In Head-On Crash In Dakota County

A head-on crash involving three vehicles killed an 18-year-old woman in southern Dakota County on Friday night, authorities said.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — A head-on crash involving three vehicles killed an 18-year-old woman in southern Dakota County on Friday night, authorities said.

At about 7 p.m., Dakota County deputies responded to the collision on Northfield Boulevard just south of 210th Street East in Vermillion Township.

The driver — identified as Ruweyda Fowsi Said, of Rochester — was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the same vehicle were transported via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The driver of a second vehicle that was hit head-on suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported to the hospital.

The occupants of the third vehicle involved reported minor injuries, according to investigators.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating but has not released information on what led up to the crash.
