Victim Of Fatal Burnsville Crash Identified

Two others were severely injured.

BURNSVILLE, MN — The victim of the fatal crash on Saturday morning off of the intersection of Nicollet Boulevard and Grand Avenue was identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner as 16-year-old Sydney Kohner, of Rosemount.

Two others were severely injured in the single-vehicle crash, according to a news release from Burnsville Police Department.

Just before the accident, Burnsville Police Department said it was investigating a noise complaint from Best Western Premier Nicollet Inn. The three teens got into a car and sped off, police said.

Officers later found the car after it had crashed and believed it was the same car that sped away from the hotel, according to officials.

Kohner was pronounced dead at the scene and the two others were brought to Hennepin County Medical Center with severe injuries, authorities said.

Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the investigation, police said.
