8-Hour Standoff In Burnsville Leaves 2 Officers, Woman Hurt: Reports

Gunfire at the Sunny Acres Mobile Home Park led to an overnight standoff, reports said.

BURNSVILLE, MN — Two officers were injured and a woman was taken into custody after an eight-hour overnight standoff in Burnsville, according to reports.

Police responded to a gunshot around 8:30 p.m. in the Sunny Acres Mobile Home Park in the area of the 15800 block of Buck Hill Road, FOX 9 reported.

A woman fired the shot inside a home and authorities issued a shelter-in-place order, evacuated nearby residences, and attempted to contact and negotiate with the woman until about 4:30 a.m., when a K-9 apprehended her, according to FOX 9.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening and the shelter-in-place order was lifted, KARE 11 reported.

Two officers were also brought to a hospital but have since been released, according to FOX 9.
