Burnsville Senator Hospitalized After 'Medical Situation' On Floor
Lindsey Port said she was brought to Region's Hospital Tuesday and released a few hours later.

BURNSVILLE, MN — Burnsville State Senator Lindsey Port said in a statement that she was hospitalized after experiencing a "medical situation" during a floor session Tuesday afternoon.
Port did not disclose the specific medical situation she experienced but said she was brought to Region's Hospital for an examination.
Port stated that she is living with effects from Long COVID and that medical professionals at Region's are working to determine if that is what caused the situation.

Port announced Wednesday morning that she was released a few hours after being admitted to Region's and is resting at home with a mild concussion.
"I want to thank the quick and professional action taken by my Senate colleagues, Senate staff and the medical professionals who attended to me," Port said.
