• Foundation pays off mortgage on the home of slain Burnsville firefighter/paramedic (kstp.com) — A national foundation has paid off the Savage home mortgage of fallen Burnsville firefighter/paramedic Adam Finseth, who was killed responding to a 2024 domestic violence call that also claimed two Burnsville officers. The support allows his Burnsville-area family to focus on their children’s future and honoring his memory, while highlighting ongoing efforts to assist families of fallen Minnesota first responders. 
• Burnsville curler makes her second Paralympics (hometownsource.com) — A Burnsville wheelchair curler is headed back to the Paralympic Winter Games in Italy, representing Team USA after first competing in Beijing in 2022. Living in Burnsville since 2001, she’s built a career in higher education, raised two Burnsville High School graduates, and risen through wheelchair sports to become a world champion and two-time Paralympian.
