• Foundation pays mortgage of fallen Burnsville firefighter (startribune.com) — Burnsville residents are seeing a powerful gesture of support for a local hero’s family: the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off the mortgage of fallen Burnsville firefighter and paramedic Adam Finseth. Finseth, who joined the Burnsville Fire Department in 2019 and later served on the SWAT team, was killed responding to a domestic disturbance in February 2024, leaving behind his wife and two young children.
   

• 2 killed in northwest North Dakota crash (thedickinsonpress.com) — A Burnsville man was one of two people killed in a head-on crash Monday morning on Highway 1804 in northwest North Dakota. Authorities say a Chrysler sedan slid into the path of a semi truck; both men in the car died at the scene, while the truck driver was not injured.
