Over Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, one of biggest snow storms rolled in, bringing with it sleet, snow and freezing rain. The squall for 2,000 residents, but Burnsville and the rest of Dakota County were left mostly by the storm, while areas twenty miles north of the Twin Cities were buried under up to a foot of snow.
