Pothole Problem? There's an App for That

This month the city unveiled new applications for mobile phones and Facebook that allow citizens to report a variety of nuisances—from potholes, to rusty water, to graffiti tags—with few quick clicks.

Now that spring is upon us (sort of), the City of Burnsville has debuted a new reporting system for potholes, irksome apearances by wildlife and other nuisances.

Residents can now report problems in real time to the city, with either Citizen Request Tracker iPhone App or the Facebook App, both of which cover an array of issues from traffic violations to building code enforcement.

However, the city has put particular emphasis on pothole repair, with a goal of following up on all requests within three working days. Not tech savvy? Have no fear. You can still call the City of Burnsville Maintenance Facility at 952-895-4550 to report a problematic pothole.
