• Burnsville Parks & Natural Resources Commission: Cancelled.

• Savage City Council Meeting: Several items of interest on the agenda, including a proposed plan to build a new McDonald's on Egan Drive, tax abatement for Savage Indoor Sports Facility, and street reconstruction plans. Meeting begins at Savage City Hall at 7:00 p.m.

• City Council Meeting: On the docket for the evening are several items, including the harvest of nuisance plants from Crystal Lake, a measure that would use the power of eminent domain to build a storm pond in the Minnesota River Quadrant area and consideration of a proposal that would allow a business — Quarry Property LLC — to store materials outdoors. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at city hall.

• Friends of McColl Pond: The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center at Community Park.

Thursday

• ISD 191 Board of Education: A lightly padded agenda for this week. Meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Diamondhead Education Center.

• Taste of Sioux Trail: The elementary will be hosting a culinary fiesta from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

• Savage Planning Commission: Meets at 7:00 p.m. at Savage City Hall.

Friday

• No school for ISD 191.

• Vintage Vibe with the Textile Center: Kids are invite to learn embroidery, including how to make a monogrammed handkerchief like your great-grandma might have made. Registration required. Supplies provided.
