THIS WEEK: County Road 5 Gets New Name, Concerts Galore and an Art Fete at the BPAC

Monday

• Parks & Natural Resources Commission: The commission will discuss which parks will receive funding for improvements and renovations in 2012 — and how much it will cost. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, in the council's chambers.

• Varsity Band, Symphonic Band and Costa Rica Band perform at the Mraz Center at Burnsville High's main campus. Concert begins at 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday

• City Council Meeting: The council will consider changing the name of County Road 5 and which streets will be get facelifts in 2012.

• How to Write a Business Plan: Women Venture is hosting a workshop at the for would-be entrepreneurs. Learn how to build a concise and persuasive business plan. There are two sessions — one on Tuesday and another on March 13. The event is free and runs from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Registration required. 

• Burnsville High School Honor Choir Concert, Mraz Center, at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday

• 6th Grade Honor Band and Concert Band, Mraz Center, at 7:00 p.m.

• Burnsville Visual Arts Society presents the 30^th annual Art Fete, a members’ show. Opening reception is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the .
