Woman Arrested on Warrant for Alleged Shopping Cart Heist
Quneeicha Renee Walker was arrested on warrant for an incident that occurred at a Burnsville retail store in December of 2011.

Last week, police arrested a Minneapolis woman on a warrant stemming from an alleged theft in Burnsville. Quneeicha Renee Walker, 20, was one of four women who allegedly tried to leave a Burnsville store with a cart full of unpaid merchandise.
Walker and Nicole Lamore Grandsberry, 20, were charged with felony theft in December 2011. Police questioned two other women at the scene — including a juvenile who was not fully identified in the police report.
According to the criminal complaint, the Burnsville Police Department was called out ot a retail store on Dec. 17, 2011 on report of a theft in progress.

Employees at the store's Burnsville location were told to watch for the women after receiving a warning from a sister store in Bloomington, where the four had allegedly been involved in an attempted theft immediately prior. Shortly after getting the alert, a loss prevention employee in Burnsville observed four women inside the store loading up a cart full of merchandise. The group then split up, with two pushing the cart out to the parking lot. The other two left a few minutes later. Officers stopped all four in the parking lot.
When questioned, the juvenile admitted that the groups had gone to the Bloomington store shortly before, but abandoned the cart full of merchandise when after realizing that they were being watched.

The merchandise inside the cart totaled $1,162. A warrant for Walker's arrest was issued on Feb. 27, 2012. She was in custody by March 1, the date of her first appearance in court.
