A pregnant woman was shot and killed in an Amazon warehouse parking lot in Lakeville, but her baby was delivered, police said.

LAKEVILLE, MN — A newborn baby is "fighting for his life" after his mother was shot and killed in the parking lot of an Amazon warehouse in Lakeville.
Kyla O'Neal, who was nine months pregnant, was fatally shot Sunday. However, the hospital staff was able to deliver her baby.
Now without his mother, the newborn is fighting to survive, O'Neal's sister, Samantha Scott, said on a GoFundMe page.

O'Neal, 31, leaves behind four children ages 10, 7, and 2 and her newborn, Scott writes:
Please donate to help my mother and her family give her a proper funeral service and help with expenses to continue to care for her 4 children and please keep her baby boy my nephew and family in your prayers.
The shooting occurred just before 7 p.m. Sunday in the 9800 block of 217th Street West, according to Lakeville police, who said the woman was inside her vehicle when she was shot.

O'Neal was pronounced dead later that night at the Hennepin County Medical Center.
Donte Rapheal McCray, an acquaintance of the woman, was found at the scene and is charged with second-degree manslaughter, according to police. McCray, a 32-year-old from Minneapolis, has a work connection with the Amazon facility where the shooting took place and is now being held in Dakota County Jail, police said.
