Fire At Lead Battery Recycling Facility In Eagan Contained
The fire department was collaborating with other agencies to monitor the environment as a precaution.

EAGAN, MN — Firefighters responded Sunday morning to a five-alarm fire at an Eagan facility that recycles lead batteries, according to authorities.
The early morning blaze occurred at Gopher Resource in the 600 block of Yankee Doodle Road, the city of Eagan posted on social media. There were no known injuries and, while the roof of the building was affected, none of the materials inside were impacted.
The blaze was contained as of shortly before noon. The fire department was collaborating with other agencies to monitor the environment as a precaution but no levels of concern had been reported as of mid-day.
