Pregnant Woman Killed In Amazon Parking Lot; Baby Delivered: Lakeville Police

An acquaintance of the woman with a work connection to the Amazon facility where the shooting occurred is charged, according to police.

LAKEVILLE, MN — A pregnant woman was fatally shot in the parking lot of an Amazon fulfillment center in Lakeville, but hospital staff were able to deliver her baby, according to police, who said a man is charged in connection with the woman's death.

The shooting occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in the 9800 block of 217th Street West, according to Lakeville police, who said the 31-year-old was inside her vehicle when she was shot. The woman was pronounced dead Sunday at Hennepin County Medical Center, police said, adding that her baby was delivered but the infant’s condition is unknown.

Donte Rapheal McCray, an acquaintance of the woman, was found at the scene and is charged with second-degree manslaughter, according to police. McCray, a 32-year-old from Minneapolis, has a work connection with the Amazon facility where the shooting took place and is now being held in Dakota County jail, police said.
