Woman Shot At Amazon Fulfillment Center Parking Lot In Lakeville

LAKEVILLE, MN — Lakeville police are investigating after a 31-year-old woman was shot in the parking lot of the Amazon Fulfillment Center warehouse in Lakeville. The woman had been shot while in her vehicle.

Emergency responders treated the woman at the scene before transporting her to the Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

A male acquaintance of the victim "was involved" in the shooting, authorities said. However, "the extent of his involvement" and the circumstances around the shooting are still being investigated, according to police.

The man was found at the scene of the shooting and is cooperating with the investigation, authorities said.

"No one else is believed to have direct involvement and there is not believed to be any threat to the public's safety at this time," Lakeville police said in a statement.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
