Eden Prairie Center Kicks Off “Back in the Saddle” with a Round Up of Free, Family-Friendly Events

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., (Aug. 20, 2025)—Eden Prairie Center is proud to present Back in the Saddle, a series of events dedicated to community engagement. Starting August 23, Back in the Saddle will transform the lifestyle center into a lively hub of fun and safe activities to celebrate the season and ease into the back-to-school routine.

“We’re excited to bring the community together during Back in the Saddle, the perfect follow-up to summer as families return to school and routine,” says Cecile O’Hagan, marketing manager at Eden Prairie Center. “From games to entertainment for all ages, the week is designed to help families ease back into the rhythm of the season with fun and excitement.”

Back in the Saddle will feature a wide variety of fun activities for people of all ages, including:

Princess Meet & Greet – Sat., August 23
Celebrate the magic of summer and the excitement of back-to-school from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Center Court. Join us for a royal gathering with beloved fairytale characters inspired by Belle and Cinderella and enjoy a magical morning filled with joy, storytelling and festive fun. Families are encouraged to come dressed in their royal best for this fairytale celebration and activities including:

• 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.: Capture photos and magical moments with the princesses in front of a fun backdrop. Enjoy additional fun with a craft station and glitter tattoos to take home as a keepsake.
• 11:30 – 11:50 a.m.: Let loose during the royal dance party where kids can show off their best dance moves with the princesses.
• 11:50 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.: Gather around for an enchanting storytime where tales of kindness, courage and adventure come to life.
• 12:15 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.: A chance to say farewell with goodbyes and hugs for a royal send-off.

Back in the Saddle: Line Dance Class – Sat., August 23
Saddle up for a fun afternoon of beginner-friendly line dancing from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Led by Line Dance with Billie and team, guests will enjoy a lively dance class to learn routines to new and classic country songs. Whether you’re brand new or just visiting for the boots and beats, this event is perfect for all ages to kick up their heels! Free RSVP is available.

Also on August 23, guests can meet adoptable furry friends in a Pet Adoption Pop-Up located on the lower level SCHEELS Court, hosted in partnership with local rescue group Spots Last Stop Canine Rescue.

Holiday Hours
On Labor Day: Mon., September 1, Eden Prairie Center will operate from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
