3 Edina Schools Closed After 'Concerning Messages'

Insert linkEDINA, MN — Three Edina schools were closed Wednesday after two "concerning messages" were left on the voicemail of Normandale Elementary.
The closures include Normandale, South View Middle School, Concord Elementary School, and the Edina Community Center.
"Edina Police have been contacted and are working to investigate the credibility of the content of the voicemail," Stacie Stanley, the superintendent of Edina Public Schools, wrote in a letter to families Wednesday.

"Please do not drop your children off at any of these campuses. Please look for specific reunification plans from your principals shortly."
Wednesday's incident comes after classes at Edina High School and Valley View Middle School were moved online last week due to a "credible threat."

A 17-year-old was charged after police said he posted a video of himself online displaying a gun and making threats outside Edina High School Thursday.
