New census data reveal where incomes soar past $300K and rise far above the state average.
EDINA, MN — The richest ZIP codes in Minnesota include several familiar names from the Twin Cities metro, according to new census data compiled by IncomeByZipcode.com.
The site analyzed the most recent five-year estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey to identify Minnesota’s wealthiest ZIP codes based on mean household income.
Each ZIP code included had at least 500 residents and a reasonable margin of error.

The report found that 55424 in Edina is Minnesota’s wealthiest ZIP code, with an average household income of $340,154 and a median household income of $241,875. The area, located just southwest of Minneapolis, is home to about 10,000 people.
To make the top 10 in Minnesota this year, ZIP codes needed an average household income above $200,000, a reflection of rising earnings and property values across the state’s most exclusive communities.
