7 Edina Schools Added To Latest COVID-19 Outbreak List
Thursday's COVID-19 outbreak list included 107 Hennepin County schools, 44 more than last week.
EDINA, MN — The number of Edina schools with recent COVID-19 outbreaks more than tripped since last week, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Three Edina schools were included last week on the department’s list of schools with recent outbreaks, the fewest in more than two months. But that number grew to 10 on Thursday with the release of the latest list.

Five Edina elementary schools were added to the list — Concord, Cornelia, Countryside, Highlands and Normandale — as well as Valley View Middle School and Our Lady of Grace Catholic School.
They join Creek Valley Elementary, South View Middle School and Edina High School, which have been on the list for many weeks.

Nine of the 10 Edina schools on Thursday’s list are in the Edina Public Schools district. The district’s COVID-19 data dashboard shows there have been 1,650 total coronavirus cases among students since Aug. 30. That includes 61 new cases from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4, the dashboard shows.
Thursday’s COVID-19 outbreak list included 107 Hennepin County schools, 44 more than last week. The total number of Minnesota schools on the outbreak list more than doubled over the past week, from 249 to 598.
