Best Places To Live In America 2022: Where Edina Ranks

EDINA, MN — Edina is among the 500 best places to live in America, according to data and analytics website Niche.

Edina was ranked 423rd among all places in the United States, according to a new study from Niche. The "best places" ranking includes cities, suburbs, towns and local neighborhoods. Niche ranked 18,515 places for its list.

"The Best Places to Live ranking provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall livability of an area," according to the ranking's methodology.

Niche’s study accounts for “several key factors of a location, including the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics, and access to amenities in an attempt to measure the overall quality of an area."

Data used in Niche’s study came from the U.S. Census, the FBI, federal health and labor statistics, plus millions of resident reviews.

Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania — a suburb of Philadelphia — was named as the best place to live in the U.S. for the third year in a row.

Edina is ranked as the fourth-best suburb to live in Minnesota and the 233rd-best suburb in America, according to Niche.
