Burger Press Takes Over Former Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop In Edina

EDINA, MN — Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop closed its Edina location earlier this year, making way for a new restaurant.

Burger Press held its grand opening Friday at 7143 France Ave. S., where Capriotti’s had been for about four years. The Capriotti’s in Edina was the franchise’s only location in Minnesota, Bring Me The News reported.

Anthony Holznagel, an online food influencer with more than 25,000 followers on Instagram, posted a “sneak peek” of Burger Press’ new Edina location on Eat Minnesota, calling it a “fast-casual” restaurant serving burgers, hot dogs, fries, an “ice cream cereal bar” and more.

The restaurant is currently serving five burgers, including a falafel-based option called the Green Burger, and Holznagel said he hasn’t seen “anything like it.”

Holznagel also hinted at an upcoming kitchen collaboration at Burger Press in Edina.

“Once things really start grindin, watch for Paco's Tacos coming out of the same kitchen offering bowls, burritos and tacos,” Holznagel wrote. “Until then, grab the posse and grab a box of burgers to share them together to get a taste of each. Or, just grab a bowl of cereal with milk. They gotchu.”

Burger Press’ Edina location opens at 10:30 a.m. every day and closes at 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, at 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday and at 8 p.m. Sundays, according to its Facebook page.
