Celebrate the Launch of 'The Amazing Spider-Man' with a Pool Party
The city is hosting a celebration of all things Spider-Man at the Edina Aquatic Center.

Just a few days before "The Amazing Spider-Man" is set to hit movie screens across the country—the film opens July 3—the is hosting a pool party in the webslinger's honor.
From noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, children will be able to take part in several superhero-themed pool and deck games. In addition to a zip line contest and relay race, attendees will be able to be part of a team dive stick challenge and play a round or two of "pin the spider on the web," a variation on "pin the tail on the donkey."
For their efforts, participants can win Spider-Man posters, t-shirts, hats and other merchandise. Perhaps most exciting, a limited number of free passes to see "The Amazing Spider-Man" movie will also be awarded.

"The Amazing Spider-Man Pool Party" is open to the public, though it does require an entrance fee. The Edina Aquatic Center—located at Rosland Park—hosts a number of family-friendly summer events. For more information, visit www.EdinaAquaticCenter.com.
