City Appeals Flood Maps That Put 150 Homes At Risk
The federal emergency officials are updating flood risk maps.

When the federal government issued new flood plain maps that could require up to 150 Edina property owners to buy new flood insurance, city officials sprang into action.
According to the Star Tribune, the city has hired its own engineer to examine the lay of the land as it asks FEMA to modify its maps.
The homes effected are near a pond in Morningside Hieghts, a group of townhouses near Bredesen Park, and in the Rolling Green area just south of Meadowbrook Golf Course.
