Edina Author Partners With Harry Potter Illustrator on Children's Book

The illustrator of the Harry Potter series was taken in by Edina author Jennifer Dewing's magical tale about a parade of animals in outer space.

As you drift over treetops, birds whistle a tune, and watch you parade by the light of the moon.

Edina author Jennifer Dewing has partnered with Harry Potter illustrator Mary GrandPré to publishing a children's book, "Goodnight Little Me," about birds whistling, mice twirling and sheep leaping in a goodnight parade.
“The reason I agreed to illustrate the book is because I connected with the manuscript," GrandPré said in a statement. "It had this really magical, lyrical way of talking about this parade of animals in the night sky.”

The book, targeted at children 10 and under, is the latest in the "I See Me" line of personalized stories, in which kids' names are inserted into the text.

“One of my favorite parts of I See Me! storybooks is that they become cherished keepsakes," Dewing said in a statement. "Not only is the child’s name shown throughout the book, but the gift-giver can select a personalized dedication to be printed in the front of the book, so the child remembers the gift-giver each time the child reads the story.”
