Edina High School Welcoming New Activities Director
Troy Stein has served as assistant principal at Chaska High School for the past five years.

Edina High School is poised to welcome a new activities director to the Hornet family, as the district has hired Chaska High School Assistant Principal Troy Stein to join the EHS leadership team on July 1.
Stein is no stranger to Edina students, having taught math at both Valley View Middle School and Edina High School in the past. For the last five years, Stein has worked as an assistant principal at Chaska High School, coordinating the school's activities, athletics and fine arts. He also taught math and coached baseball for three years at Chaska High School.
EHS Principal Dr. Bruce Locklear said the entire administrative team is excited to welcome Stein back to Edina.

"He brings a wealth of experience as well as an excitement to the position that will benefit our students, staff and programs," Locklear said.
Stein said he's looking forward to returning to the halls of EHS, with hopes to building upon the district's "long tradition of excellence in academics and athletics" to help students both inside and outside of the classroom environment.

"I look forward to leading an educationally-based athletics and activities department by working collaboratively with students, teachers, coaches, administrators and supporters throughout the community to continue the legacy of excellence that exists in Edina," Stein said. "I am proud to be a part of the Hornet team and look forward to the work that lies ahead," he said.
Superintendent Ric Dressen said Stein's work experience in Chaska, past connections to Edina and focus on student success made him a good fit for the position.
"His passion for young people and ensuring each student has the opportunity to thrive aligns well with our mission of All for All," Dressen said. "I look forward to working with him and watching our strong athletic and activities program grow even stronger."
