Edina High Student Signs NIL Deal; First In MN To Earn Endorsement
Bayliss Flynn, who stars as goalkeeper for Edina High School's girls soccer team, also plays for Minnesota Aurora FC.
EDINA, MN — Edina High School goalkeeper Bayliss Flynn made history Wednesday by signing an endorsement deal with TruStone Financial, according to the company.
Flynn is the first known high school student-athlete in the state to sign an endorsement contract under the Minnesota State High School League's new name, image and likeness (NIL) policy, TruStone said in a news release.

No financial details of the deal were disclosed, but Flynn will earn money to endorse TruStone’s debit card and promote financial education. Flynn signed the NIL deal Wednesday, a day after turning 17, the release states.
Flynn, who stars as goalkeeper for Edina’s girls soccer team, also plays for Minnesota Aurora FC. She's the youngest player at the club, which is playing its inaugural season in the USL W League.

She helped lead Edina’s girls soccer team to a No. 1 ranking in the U.S. during the 2021 season in which she earned All-State, All-Metro and All-Conference honors, according to the release.
