Edina Man Struck by Vehicle on Side of I-35W

The 37-year-old victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A 37-year-old Edina man was reportedly struck by a passing vehicle while attempting to pour fuel into his stalled SUV on the side of I-35W early Sunday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports the man's SUV stalled out on northbound I-35W near 50th Street at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 17. The man obtained gasoline and was filling up his SUV when he was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle.

The State Patrol said the vehicle fled the scene without stopping. No description of the vehicle that struck the man was available, though

The victim sustained a broken leg and was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the State Patrol.
