A 37-year-old Edina man was reportedly struck by a passing vehicle while attempting to pour fuel into his stalled SUV on the side of I-35W early Sunday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol reports the man's SUV stalled out on northbound I-35W near 50th Street at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 17. The man obtained gasoline and was filling up his SUV when he was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle. The State Patrol said the vehicle fled the scene without stopping. No description of the vehicle that struck the man was available, though  The victim sustained a broken leg and was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the State Patrol.   People with information about the incident are asked to contact the State Patrol Metro Communications Center at (651) 582-1502.
