Fifth Edina Student Earns Perfect Score on ACT
EHS junior Lara Boman got a perfect composite score of 36 on the test.

A fifth Edina High School student has earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT test, this time EHS junior Lara Boman.
Boman, daughter of Steve and Julie, was taking the college placement exam for the first time, according to her father.
"She was going to take it 'for practice' once, then see if she could do better the second time," Steve said, in an email. "No need for the second test."

Nationally, roughly one-tenth of one percent of students who take the ACT exam manage to boast a perfect score. That's something like 780 of the estimated 1.66 million students who took the test in 2012.
The ACT includes tests in English, math, reading and science. Tests are scored on a scale of 1-36, with the student's composite score an average of all four.
