Jersey Mike’s In Edina To Donate Sales To Special Olympics MN

Jersey Mike's two Edina locations will donate 100 percent of their sales March 30 to send more than 100 athletes to the Special Olympics.

EDINA, MN — March 30 is set to be a big day for Special Olympics Minnesota in Edina.

South View Middle School is hosting its first-ever “Cool School” Polar Plunge that afternoon, with more than 220 people raising almost $28,000, as of Wednesday, to support Special Olympics Minnesota.

Meanwhile, Jersey Mike’s two Edina locations will donate 100 percent of their sales that day to help send more than 100 Minnesota athletes to compete in the Special Olympics in Florida this summer.

All of Jersey Mike’s locations are set to donate their March 30 sales to Special Olympics organizations, according to the sandwich-shop chain.

This is the first year that the chain is donating 100 percent of its proceeds to a single cause or organization. The company said it hopes to raise more than $15 million to break last year’s record.

Free High-Speed Internet Available To Some Edina Residents

Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on March 30 is part of the company’s “Month of Giving,” which started in 2011. The company said it has raised more than $47 million for local charities since then.
