Minneapolis Man Arrested for Shooting Window at Liquor Store

Police are also looking for the suspect responsible for stealing a purse at the Neighborhood Ice Cream Shoppe.

Thursday, June 7

  • Russell Robert Hyatt, 52, of Minneapolis, was arrested for property damage. Hyatt allegedly shot a pellet gun into a window at the , doing damage to the window in the process.
  • Police responded to  on a report of theft. An unknown person reportedly stole a victim's credit card and used it without permission.

  • A 17-year-old male was arrested for underage consumption in the 4200 block of Valley View Road.
  • Police responded to on a report of property damage. Officers report a window at the park had sustained damage.
  • Police responded to the 4400 block of Parklawn Court on a report of theft. An unknown person entered a victim's vehicle and stole a GPS unit valued at $75.
  • Police responded to at the Galleria on a report of an unknown person using a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for merchandise.
  • Police responded to the 4100 block of Parklawn Avenue on a report of an unknown person attempting to forcibly enter a victim's residence.
  • Police responded to the 4200 block of Lynn Avenue on a report of the unauthorized use of a credit card.
  • Police responded to the 5100 block of Edina Industrial Boulevard on a report of suspicious activity.
  • Police responded to the 4500 block of Edina Boulevard on a report of theft. Officers learned $149 in cash had been taken from the victim by swindling.
  • Police responded to on a report of theft. A cell phone and cash valued at $225 was forcibly taken from a victim's locker at the gym.
  • Rebecca Ann Ramsey, 30, of Faribault, was arrested for 3rd Degree DWI. Ramsey had reportedly been driving erratically when officers stopped her vehicle in the 5900 block of Ewing Avenue South. She was subsequently arrested for DWI.
  • Police responded to the 7600 block of Bush Lake Road on a report of theft. A laptop valued at $1,415.53 was reportedly stolen from a victim's vehicle.
  • Police responded to the on a report of theft. An unknown person reportedly stole a purse and its contents valued at $355 from a customer at the store.

Saturday, June 9

  • Police responded to the 5600 block of Valley Lane on a report of a found bicycle.
  • Police responded to the 4300 block of West 66th Street on a report of an unknown person forcibly entering a victim's vehicle. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Police responded to the 4300 block of West 66th Street on a report of theft. An unknown person reportedly forced his way into a victim's vehicle and stole a bag and contents valued at $230.
  • A man was issued a citation for trespassing on Cooper Avenue.
