Stashed Firework Ignites in YMCA Garbage Can
Officers also responded to a burglary alarm at Be Iced, finding a men's ring missing from a jewelry case.

Wednesday, July 4
- Police responded to the 5200 block of Interlachen Boulevard on a report of theft. An unidentified person reportedly put $54 of gasoline in a vehicle and drove away without paying for it.
- Police responded to the 5200 block of Dundee Road on a report of burglary. An unknown person entered a residence and stole miscellaneous property valued at $1,563.
- Police responded to on a report of theft. An unknown person stole a purse and its contents valued at $425 from a victim at the restaurant.
- Police responded to the 5700 block of Fairfax Avenue on a report of burglary. An unknown person stole a garage door opener valued at $40 from a vehicle, which was parked in an attached garage at the time of the theft.
- A 23-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault.
- Police responded to the on a report of a fire. Officers report an unknown person put a firework into a garbage can, causing the fire. No major damage was reported.

- A 23-year-old St. Louis Park man was arrested for 3rd degree DWI after his vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on northbound Hwy. 100.
- A 19-year-old Elmore man was arrested for driving after revocation after his vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on westbound Hwy. 62.
- A 20-year-old Excelsior man was arrested for underage consumption and obstructing the legal process after a vehicle he was riding in was stopped for a traffic violation.
- An unidentified suspect came to the Edina Police Department to report a found wallet.
- Police responded to on a report of theft. An unknown person stole an ottoman valued at $499 from an outside building of the business.
- Police responded to the 5800 block of Hidden Lane on a report of burglary. An unknown person entered a residence and stole a laptop valued at $1,500.
- Police responded to the 5500 block of Countryside Road on a report of suspicious activity.
Friday, July 6
- A 20-year-old Hopkins man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a vehicle he was riding in was stopped at the intersection of Vernon Avenue and Interlachen Boulevard.
- A 20-year-old Minnetonka man was arrested for possession of marijuana after the vehicle he was driving was stopped at the intersection of Vernon Avenue and Interlachen Boulevard.
- Police responded to the 6600 block of 2nd Street South on a report of burglary. An unknown person entered a residence, but nothing was reported stolen.
- A 14-year-old boy was arrested for a curfew violation and runaway after officers found him in the 7100 block of Amundson Avenue.
- Police responded to on a report of burglary. The store's alarm was triggered, though officers did not see any suspects upon arrival. The business and a jewelry case were forcibly entered, with a men's ring of unknown value reported missing.
