Student Artists Once Again Exhibiting Creations at Edina Art Fair
The 2013 Edina Art Fair will see the return of the 'Foot in the Fair' program, featuring artwork from local students in grades 1-12.
When the 47th annual Edina Art Fair kicks off next Friday, May 31, it will feature the works of talented artists both from Minnesota and throughout the nation.
Among the sea of creativity will be numerous works from Edina students, as the "Foot in the Fair" program is returning for its third consecutive year. The program features artwork from local students in grades 1-12, with a chance to show the expected 150,000 attendees their finest creations.
The concept for "Foot in the Fair" stemmed from a desire to support and encourage youth arts in the community, 50th & France Business Association Associate Director Julie Boehm told Patch back in 2011.

“There are some really cool works,” Boehm said. “It’s amazing seeing the talent even in a first grader.”
This year's Edina Art Fair boasts 320 artists in total, with the festivities running from May 31-June 2 throughout the city's 50th & France neighborhood. In addition to the "Foot in the Fair," the Edina 5-0 parking lot will host an expanded Kids Zone with a bouncy house, velcro wall, yoga demos and family-friendly entertainment.
