Tennessee Native Busted Stealing Gas from Super America

Police also responded to a pair of purse thefts from Edina Eye Physicians & Associates.

Monday, Mar. 25

  • Olad Sharif Omar, 21, of Hermitage, TN, was arrested for theft, driving after suspension and not displaying registration. Omar had allegedly put $63.23 in gasoline into his vehicle at Super America, but was pulled over by Edina Police in the 5200 block of Vernon Avenue.
  • Police responded to the 4800 block of West 50th Street on a report of a violation of a protection order.
  • Police responded to the 6300 block of Maloney Avenue on a report of a missing woman.
  • Police responded to Edina Eye Physicians & Surgeons on a report of theft. An unknown person stole a purse valued at $193 from an employee break room.
  • Police responded to the 4900 block of Aspasia Lane on a report of suspicious activity. A resident reported receiving harassing communications.

  • Police responded to Edina Eye Physicians & Surgeons on a report of theft. An unknown person stole a purse valued at $707 from an employee break room.
  • Police responded to the 7000 block of York Avenue on a report of a violation of a domestic abuse no contact order.
  • Police responded to the 5800 block of Drew Avenue on a report of a possible disturbance.
  • Ashly Dakota Armstrong, 20, of Minneapolis was arrested for theft. Armstrong had allegedly stolen $235 in cash from cash registers at Southdale Center.
  • Police responded to the Eden Avenue Grill on a report of property damage. An unknown suspect had keyed the door of a vehicle in the restaurant's parking lot, with damage estimated at $500.
  • Police responded to Cub Foods on a report of theft. An unknown person stole merchandise valued at $481.06 from the store. No arrest was made at the time.

Wednesday, Mar. 27

  • Police responded to Edinborough Park on a report of theft. An unknown person stole a jacket valued at $85 from the park.
