Three Hornets Make U.S. Select Teams
Parker Reno, Jack Walker and Cullen Munson will play for Team USA in international tournaments next month.

Three Edina hockey stars have been named to U.S. teams set to compete in the tournaments next month in the Czech Republic.
Jack Walker and Cullen Munson, both students at , are among 20 players selected for the U.S. Under-17 Select Team following the USA Hockey Boys' Select 16 Player Development Camp earlier this month in Rochester, N.Y. The team will compete in the 2012 Five Nations Tournament—against players from Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic—from Aug. 7-11.
Parker Reno, 17, was the lone Edina High School student named to the 22-player U.S. Under-18 Select Team. Reno's team will be one of eight competing in the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from Aug. 13-17. Team USA will face Russia, the Czech Republic and Finland in its first three games, before moving on to the semifinals of the tournament. Teams from Canada, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland will also be part of the competition.

Walker, 15, Munson, 16, and Reno were three of five Hornets invited to take part in USA Hockey Development Camps this summer. Connor Hurley and Dylan Malmquist also participated in the organization's summer camps. Edina's total of five players was the most sent to USA Hockey camps of any state high school league program.
