Two Edina Firefighters Made Captain, Lieutenant

Ryan Quinn was promoted to captain and Scott Vadnais to lieutenant.

Two Edina firefighters were promoted earlier this month.

Ryan Quinn, an eight-year veteran of the department, was made fire captain, and Scott Vadnais, a 16-year veteran, was made a lieutenant.

“I anticipate both Ryan and Scott to excel in their new roles with the Fire Department,” Fire Chief Marty Scheerer said in a statement. “They have both shown tremendous leadership in the past and I look forward to them growing with us in the future.”

Before coming to Edina, Quinn—a Century College and U of M graduate— worked in Eden Prairie and in Denver.

Vadnais worked for the White Bear Lake Fire Department and as a paramedic and dispatcher for HealthSpan Corporation.
