Underage Chaska Man Found Stumbling Down Street

A possible prescription forgery was also reported at the Centennial Lakes Medical Center.

Monday, May 7

  • Police responded to the  on a report of possible prescription forgery.
  • Police responded to the 7600 block of Parklawn Avenue on a report of a stolen purse. Witnesses said an unidentified man entered a dentist's office and stole a purse and contents valued at $768.
  • Police responded to the 5000 block of Ridge Road on a report of possible identity theft.
  • Police responded to the 5200 block of Lincoln Drive on a report of theft. An unknown person stole a set of tools and vehicle tires valued at $650 from an underground parking garage.
  • Police responded to the 6300 block of Ashcroft Lane on a report of a verbal domestic.
  • Charles Mitchell Karjala, 20, of Chaska, was arrested for underage consumption and giving a false name to police. Officers reportedly found Karjala staggering in the middle of the 6200 block of Ewing Avenue. After he allegedly provided a false name to police, officers placed him under arrest.

  • Police responded to the 6800 block of Oaklawn Avenue on a report of tampering with auto. An unknown person entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it, though nothing was reported missing.
  • Police responded to Larson Design on a report of a stolen computer valued at $2,668.
  • Police responded to the 6800 block of Point Drive on a report of a stolen vehicle remote start valued at $400.
  • Police responded to the 6900 block of Cornelia Drive on a report of theft. An unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a watch and sunglasses valued at $600.
  • Police responded to the 3100 block of West 69th Street on a report of suspicious activity.
  • Police responded to the 4600 block of West 56th Street on a report of a suspicious phone call.
  • Police responded to the Institute for Orthopedics and Chiropractic on a report of theft. An unknown person entered the business and stole a purse and contents valued at $370.
