(VIDEO) Cure Summer Boredom with Safety Camp

Want your kids to learn the ins and outs of public safety? You're in luck.

The city's , and Park and Recreation Departments are set to give local kids an inside look at the daily adventure of serving the public.

The 2011 Edina Safety Camp—which is presently full—gives kids entering the 4th grade a chance to take part in interactive sessions covering fire, personal, water, electric, internet and animal safety. Campers get a T-shirt, snack and a pizza lunch for taking part in the festivities.

The camp costs $32 to attend and runs from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at the .
