State Sen. Melisa Franzen (DFL-Edina) has had a busy few days over at the Capitol, including seeing her first two bills make it to the Senate floor. Franzen provides regular video updates to constituents via her YouTube channel and, in the latest, said she's excited to see her first two bills moving to Governor Dayton's desk and—hopefully—becoming Minnesota law. Franzen said it's also been jam-packed in her committee meetings, with the deadline for bills coming up and numerous hours of testimony as a result.
