The Grove Celebrates 10 Years with a Host of Special Events

This week, The Grove Aquatic and Fitness Center in Inver Grove Heights is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in a big way. All week, the city is rolling out special deals and activities for local residents and members. Without further ado, here's a calendar of events for the The Grove's anniversary:

• Bring Your Friend For Free Day
  It doesn't get much simpler — or cheaper. On Wednesday, Feb. 16, friends of attendees at Veterans Memorial Community Center get in free as part of the The Grove's week-long 10th anniversary celebration.
• Member Appreciation Night
  Veterans Memorial Community Center members can try their luck at blackjack and satisfy their hunger with light appetizers from 5 to 8pm on Thursday, Feb. 17. But that's not all: Kids can play bingo in the pool for prizes.
• Late Night Swim at the Water Park
  To commemorate the 10th anniversary of The Grove Aquatic and Fitness Center, the water park will be open for extra evening hours from 5:30 to 9pm on Friday, Feb. 18. Feel free to bring your favorite inflatable raft or swimming toy. The swimming fee is $4 per person.
• Free Family Celebration
  Fly down the water slides, work your abs at the fitness center or practice your back stroke in the lap pool at The Grove — for free! The community center is holding a free family celebration from noon to 4pm on Saturday, Feb. 19. If that isn't enough to entice you, there will also be balloon animals, a DJ, face painting and food available.
• Arts and Crafts Fair
  While it's not part of the official anniversary week, the Arts and Crafts fair will have plenty of vendors selling all manner of odds and ends. The fair runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, Feb. 19. Admission is free.
• Admission Fee Rollback
  On Sunday, Feb. 20, community members can enjoy reduced admission rates for the water park, lap pool and fitness center. Pay only $5 per person or $15 per family for all day use.
