2 Killed In Blaine After Motorcycle Collides With Sedan

Two people are dead after a motorcycle crashed into a car in Blaine on Tuesday.

BLAINE, MN — Two people are dead after a motorcycle crashed into a car in Blaine on Tuesday.

Just before 9 p.m., authorities responded to the crash near Oak Park Boulevard Northeast and 125th Avenue Northeast.

According to investigators, a sedan driving eastbound on 125th Avenue was trying to turn northbound onto Polk Street when they collided with a motorcycle traveling westbound on 125th Avenue.

The motorcycle driver — Jeffrey Thomas Loehr, 52, of Blaine — was found dead at the scene.

The motorcycle passenger — Tanya Renee Loehr, 51, of Blaine — was transported to a local hospital where she was declared deceased.

The sedan driver was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

The crash continues to be investigated by the Blaine Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
