22-Year-Old Minnetonka Man Killed Trying To Pass Traffic: State Patrol

The motorcyclist was trying to pass traffic when he crashed, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

GOLDEN VALLY, MN — A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Highway 394 in Golden Valley Tuesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. He was trying to pass traffic when he crashed, authorities said.

At about noon, Endre J. Thorkelson was going eastbound on Highway 394 near Highway 100 in the left lane when he attempted to pass traffic, according to the state patrol.

The motorcycle ran off the road, side-swiped the concrete median wall, and crashed into a road sign, authorities said.

Thorkelson was transported to North Memorial Hospital, where he died.
