5-Year-Old Killed, 4-Year-Old Seriously Injured In North Metro Crash

RAMSEY, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating after a single-car crash Thursday in the north metro left a 5-year-old child dead and a 4-year-old with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities identified the child who died as Elijah Reardon, of Becker.
The driver, a 32-year-old woman also from Becker, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Just before 7 p.m. Thursday, a 2004 Toyota Sequoia was westbound on Highway 10 at Armstrong Boulevard when the driver lost control on ice and slipped off the road to the right.
The vehicle struck a cement wall and rolled. The vehicle landed on its roof in the right lane of the highway. Ramsey police and fire, an Allina ambulance, and a North Memorial ambulance responded to the crash.

All three occupants were transported to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
